Coach Courtney - Director

Courtney Banfield graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University with a bachelor's in Management and a Master’s in Business Administration. She started dancing at the age of two and then at the age of nine she began competitive dancing at Dance Productions in Pearland, Texas where she did most of her training and later helped teach and assist classes. Courtney was a highly competitive dancer and won multiple titles while in the studio. She attended Friendswood High School where she was a part of the national championship drill team, the Wranglerettes. She served as a dance officer her junior year as Deputy and senior year as Marshal. She then continued dancing at the collegiate level on the SFA Dance team for 5 years while having the privilege of being a captain for 3 of those years. Continuing at SFA she was the assistant coach for 2 years. She currently holds 6 national championship titles with Stephen F. Austin, one in the D1 Hip Hop Division and two in the D1 Pom Division as a dancer and three more championships, 2 in Pom and 1 in Team Performance as a coach. She works as a staff member and choreographer for TCDT, and is a freelance choreographer for various studios and schools. Courtney is now very excited to be back in her hometown as the Director for the Friendswood High School Wranglerettes.

Coach H - Assistant Director

Born and raised in League City, Texas, Anabelle developed a love for dance early in life. She attended Clear Falls High School, where she served as both Junior Lieutenant and Colonel of the Emeralds dance team. During her freshman and sophomore years, she was also a member of the Dance Dynamics Worlds Team. Anabelle went on to attend Texas Tech University, where she was a dedicated member of the Pom Squad for four years. During her freshman year, she had the honor of competing at the ICU World Championship with the U.S. national jazz team where they took home gold! In her sophomore year, she joined the National Dance Alliance (NDA) staff, where she began teaching and mentoring high school dancers across the country—a role she continues to this day. In her junior year, Anabelle had the honor of performing in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade alongside country singer Alex Smith. During her senior year, she served as a Weight Room Captain for the Pom Squad and also completed a Human Resources internship. Currently, Anabelle teaches master classes and offers lessons at local studios, continuing to share her passion and expertise with the next generation of dancers. Anabelle is excited to be coming to Friendswood as the Assistant Director for the Friendswood High School Wranglerettes
